Mourners were in for a pleasant surprise and uncontrollable laughter after their dead family member surprised them with a pre-recorded message that he ordered to be played at his funeral.
Grieving friends and family members were seen in tears when veteran Shay Bradley was placed into the soil in Kilmanagh, Leinster, Ireland.
Little did they know, however, that the man had planned a surprise before passing away.
“Hello, hello. Let me out,” the dead man’s voice was heard all of a sudden as his pre-recorded message played.
“Where the f*** am I? Let me out, let me out. It’s f – ing dark in here. Is that the priest I can hear. This is Shay I’m in the box. No in f – ing front of you. I’m dead.”
After knocking on the wood, Shay achieved the impossible by making the mourners burst into laughter.
“Hello again hello, hello I just called to say goodbye,” the veteran added in the pre-recorded message.
As the family revealed, Shay, who had been fighting an illness for a long time, was a man of great character and humor.
“It is with great sadness that I was informed of the passing of our Military Brother and Veteran Colleague Shay Bradley.
On behalf of the members of the IDFVA I extend our sincerest condolences and prayers to Anne and family at this sad time.
May Shay Rest in Peace,” Irish Defence forces Veterans news wrote as they shared the video. After the incident went viral, Bradley’s daughter Andrea spoke out and explained that her father ordered them to play his final message during his funeral.
“He would love to know how many people he made laugh!!! He was an amazing character,” she added.
