MaKhia Bryant’s foster mother has revealed that the teen and two other girls had an argument over an unmade bed and a messy house before she was shot by police multiple times.
Angela Moore said two former foster children came to Ohio for her birthday when the brawl suddenly broke out.
“It was over keeping the house clean. The older one told them to clean up the house because ‘Mom doesn’t like the house dirty.’ So that’s how it all started,” Moore told CNN.
The foster mom said that she was told that MaKhia had told the other girl: “You’re not the guardian of me.”
Moore said that they argued ‘all the time’ since MaKhia moved into the home several months ago.
“I never thought it would escalate like that,” she expressed.
Moore said that she received a call from one of the former foster children (the one wearing pink in the police bodycam) and told her: “’Mom, get home. Where are you? They’re going crazy.’ She said they shot MaKhia and I said, ‘Huh?’ It was just crazy.”
The foster mom then received text messages from people sending their condolences.
This comes after one of her neighbors, a military veteran, said that his home security camera proves that the officer had no other choice but to shoot MaKhia as more people could’ve been killed.
Donavon Brinson told Fox News: “He could have either not fired and the young lady in pink could have been stabbed in the neck and brutally or fatally injured and then he could have shot (Bryant) and we could have had two (young women) dead – or he could have responded in the way that he did and one young lady lost her life.”
Another neighbor also said the bodycam footage shows MaKhia was in ‘full attack mode’ and ‘needed to be stopped.’
