A hungry stray dog has captured the hearts of people after a restaurant confirmed she visits them every evening in order to get a free dinner.

The incident occurred at a restaurant in New Mexico where Subway Sally the dog regularly comes over in search of leftovers.

Fortunately, the staff at the Portales-based Subway restaurant are more than happy to feed the pooch. However, if they’re not fast enough, Sally allegedly takes her search for food across the street where a Taco Bell is.

As a TikTok user @kxnuko revealed in his viral videos, he works at the Subway branch in question and feeds Sally bacon and other delicious stuff whenever he sees her.

“This stray dog has been coming to Subway every night for the past year. We always feed her. Her name is Subway Sally,” the worker wrote.

“So she’s back. Today I’ve got her some chicken. She’s kind of messy though … If we’re too late to give her food, she’ll just go across the street to Taco Bell,” he added in another post.

The video quickly went viral whereas it was viewed by millions of people who praised the staff for feeding the hungry pooch.

However, some people argued that the dog might not even be a stray because her fur looks well-cared for.

As Kxnuko explained, however, Sally’s fur is thriving thanks to a kind lady from a nearby flower shop who always gives her a bath.

“Multiple people have tried taking her but she never wants to go. I suspect she has a regular place to sleep and possibly care for her puppies,” he added.

In another video posted by the restaurant employee, a group of girls was seen trying to tame the fast-food lover in an attempt to take her home with little success.
