An angry has spoken out and revealed how she had kicked her own sister from her wedding after hearing her “selfish” speech.

As the disgruntled bride in question explained in her Reddit post, she decided to kick her bridesmaid, who happens to be her sister, from her ceremony after the woman made a long speech about herself and her connection with the groom.

“During her speech, she brought up her depression and how my husband supported her through it and how ‘in that moment, I knew he was the one for me,’” the bride wrote.

“I thought her speech was really selfish. I think it’s super inappropriate to bring up a mental illness during a wedding speech. Not only that, but the entire speech was about her. At MY wedding.

“Ninety per cent of the guests congratulated her afterwards and talked about how ‘strong’ she was. Nobody was paying attention to me, at my own wedding! Sorry if I sound selfish, but in my opinion there is a time and a place for this sort of thing.”

As the furious sister added, she went on to confront her sibling and tell her to leave the wedding for being “disruptive” and “selfish” afterward.

“She was really upset but just left without arguing. My parents agree with me. But my husband and all of my close friends think I was way too harsh,” she concluded.

After asking Reddit users for advice, the bride was quickly slammed for taking such drastic measures just because of a single speech. While many agreed that the sister could have done a better job with her speech, most suggested that the bride was in the wrong for kicking her sibling from her wedding.

“It was not the right time for her to be seeking attention but kicking her out sounds petty and vindictive. She said what she said, damage done. You’ve decided to cause a family issue instead of just moving on,” someone wrote.

One person said: “You kicked your sister out for bringing the focus to herself because it was your wedding? Weddings are about bringing people together, not about you being a celebrity for a day.”

“I think the fact that her parents agreed with her throwing her sister out probably speaks volumes about the situation and family dynamic. Maybe her sister is always seeking attention like that,” another argued.
