Al Roker has returned home from his hospital after a major health scare that left his family and friends worried.
The beloved 68-year-old weatherman, presenter, and journalist was hospitalized at a New York hospital on November 25 after being taken out of his Upper East Side home on a stretcher.
According to a source that spoke to Page Six on November 30, the weathercaster once again suffered medical complications resulting from blood clots.
Fortunately, Roker has already returned to his old self and was filmed leaving the hospital on his own two legs following his health scare.
“Home! So incredibly grateful to family, friends, medical folks, @todayshow family and all your thoughts and prayers,” he later wrote in an Instagram post as he shared a photo of himself smiling from ear to ear.
In another photo, Roker can be seen embracing his wife Deborah Roberts and their daughter Leila.
The happy news comes shortly after the 68-year-old shared a photo showing the view of NYC from his hospital room.
“Hopefully coming home soon but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to see that and recharge. God Bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family,” he wrote at the time.
Roker’s sudden hospitalization comes just a month after he was admitted to the hospital for a blood clot in his leg.
“So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been. Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg, which sent some clots into my lungs,” the Today anchor said back in November.
“After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone.”
