Brad Pitt reportedly allowed an elderly neighbor to stay in his multi-million mansion for free for several years.
Speaking to People magazine, Elvira star Cassandra Peterson alleged that the 59-year-old Hollywood legend and Oscar-winning actor was “very kind” to his 105-year-old neighbor whose wife had passed away.
As the actress claimed, Pitt let the elderly man stay in his $39 million Los Angeles mansion rent-free for years until the man’s death.
“He was very, very kind to the husband. His wife passed away and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died,” Peterson said.
“It was kind of funny because John lived to be 105. I imagine Brad was thinking well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now.”
Peterson and Pitt became neighbors after the actor built a massive estate by buying multiple properties in the Los Feliz community in the greater Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
Peterson also recalled the first time she saw the actor in person as she admitted she nearly fainted when she saw him preparing for the 1999 movie Fight Club.
“I remember he goes, ‘Hey, how are you?’ and I’m like, ‘Huh?’ I couldn’t talk. I was turning red. I felt like I was fainting. He’s just so stunningly, stunningly handsome — and nice, to top it off,” she added.
The news comes just a month after Pitt sold his mansion for an astounding $39 million, making a huge profit after buying the property for $1.7 million back in 1994.
