American country singer Jason Aldean was filmed storming off the stage during his most recent concert after suffering a medical emergency.
The incident took place on Saturday night as the 46-year-old Dirt Road Anthem was performing in Hartford, Connecticut, in front of a large audience when he suddenly ran off the stage without any explanation.
According to the early reports, it is possible that Aldean suffered a minor heat stroke during the intense performance at 88 degrees.
On Sunday, however, Jason dismissed heat stroke rumors and explained that he likely suffered a “combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion.”
He also took the opportunity to reveal that he is resting and recovering and to apologize to his fans for his abrupt exit.
“I’m doing fine. It was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show and just think it was a combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion,” the country star said.
“It was pretty intense last night at the show. Anybody who was at the show last night knows how hot it was. I was trying get through as much of the show as I could and eventually is was just, like, I knew it wasn’t going to happen and I was trying to just get off stage and figure out what was going on.”
Aldean further revealed that he was put on an IV on Sunday as part of his recovery.
The sudden medical emergency came just a day after Jason kicked off his Highway Desperado tour with a performance in Bethel, New York.
“Obviously, it’s not the way I wanted the show to end. Not what I was hoping for on our first week on the tour by any means,” he added.
“Again, I apologize for cutting the show short, but we’ll come back and make it up to you.”
Jason also reassured his fans that his Saratoga Springs in NY would go on as planned on Sunday.
