Meg Ryan has been branded as “unrecognizable” by her fans after she made a rare public appearance in support of her friend Michael J Fox who is battling Parkinson’s disease.
The 61-year-old actress was seen in public for the first time since November as she appeared at a screening of Fox’s upcoming documentary in New York City on Thursday.
The screening of ‘Still’ took place at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and was attended by the star of the show, Michael, and his friends including Meg Ryan, Bill Murray, Tracy Pollan, Denis Leary, Jane Pauley, Joan Jett, Elvis Costello, Katie Couric, and Mark Seliger.
In the photos from the outing, the Sleepless in Seattle star appeared to be in high spirits as she smiled from ear to ear while posing for pictures with her friends.
The pictures racked up heaps of attention on social media where viewers quickly called out Meg, who has long maintained that she hasn’t undergone any plastic surgery, for her “plump lips” and her “wrinkle-free skin.”
“She’s clearly done something since 2019 when she looked pretty good. I think the natural ageing process would have been kind to her as she was a very attractive woman,” someone wrote.
“I think I will keep my wrinkles, I earned them. At least I look human,” another said.
“She’s always looked pretty I don’t know why she had to go this far. She looks like a different person to be honest,” a third suggested.
Some fans, however, were also quick to voice their support for the actress saying she looked great for her age.
“Leave her alone, she’s 61 and she looks just fine for her age,” someone pointed out.
“It’s her body and her face she can do whatever she wants. Let it go, she’s still gorgeous,” another said.
