Travis Barker’s diagnosis has been revealed after the musician was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
On Tuesday, the 46-year-old Blink-182 drummer sparked concerns about his health after he was pictured getting loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher.
According to the early reports, Travis was rushed to Los Angeles’ West Hills Hospital before being transferred to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
It has since the dramatic incident been revealed that the drummer was hospitalized for pancreatitis, the swelling and inflammation of the pancreas.
It is believed that Barker developed the condition – which is normally caused by an injury, infection, or a bodily disorder – following a colonoscopy he underwent recently, TMZ revealed.
As the publication claimed, sources say Travis recently underwent a colonoscopy exam which can help detect polyps, cancer, or irritated tissue. In rare cases, however, the procedure may contribute to inflammation of the pancreas.
Meanwhile, insiders spoke to the People magazine and revealed that the musician’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, “won’t leave his side” and has remained with him in the hospital since his hospitalization.
“Kourtney was worried yesterday. They both were. Travis was suffering from extreme stomach pain and could barely walk,” a source said.
Concerned about the 46-year-old father-of-two was also his daughter, 16-year-old Alabama, who shared a photo of her holding her father’s hand while he was lying on a hospital bed.
“Please send your prayers,” she wrote in her post.
The news comes shortly after Kourtney revealed she made a fully recover after contracting Covid-19 for the second time and just weeks after the pair, who have been friends for years, tied the knot in Italy.
Our thoughts remain with Travis and his family.
