A family is celebrating after formerly conjoined twins made it home as two separate individuals for the first time.

The life-saving surgery took place and comprised nearly 11 hours and a team of doctors worked long and hard to achieve the miracle.

Sources from local media outlets were quick to speak about how happy the parents were and shocked to see their little babies live lives as two people and not joined as one.

The surgery came with its fair share of risks but this couple knew that they had left everything in God’s hands and they knew that all would be well.

The surgery reportedly took place in Texas where Jamielynn and Amielynn were put apart by doctors through surgery. The family says they cannot believe their children can now lead a life free of worry and tension and stress.

“The thought of being stuck to someone for so long is just devastating. These were little children and all they could do was cry and we as parents felt their pain”- the couple explained.

The two little girls shared a liver and sources revealed how it was a risky medical condition but doctors had reassured the parents that the children were in good hands and they were going to do everything possible to give them a newfound freedom.

Even after the successfully conducted surgery, the duo was forced to stay in the hospital under critical care and strict observation. Sources revealed how anything and everything could go wrong at any moment in time so they needed to be there so medical experts could attend to them.

“It’s like giving birth all over again. These are our little precious angels and we’re so grateful and blessed that the doctors made the impossible possible”- the duo revealed. And now, they’re on their way to a world where they can be free.
