Britney Spears has left fans heartbroken after she finally explained why she shares photos of herself without wearing any clothes on social media.

The 41-year-old singer uses Instagram to share raunchy videos and photos. She proudly takes everything off and only uses emojis to cover her private areas.

Her posts usually leave people divided, with many expressing their concerns for the ‘Toxic’ hitmaker while others continue to praise her.

But now, Spears has finally provided an explanation in her new memoir, The Woman In Me.

In a passage seen by The New York Times, the singer said she believed that many of her fans might get confused by her posts.

“I know that a lot of people don’t understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses,” the singer wrote.

“But I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people’s approval, they’d understand that I get a lot of joy from posing the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture.”

This comes after Spears left her fans shocked and concerned after sharing a video of her dancing with two ‘fake’ knives.

Shortly after sharing the clip, she told her 42 million followers that the items were fake but some still called the cops for a welfare check.

The singer then slammed the officers who arrived at her property. In a statement on Instagram, she said: “So unacceptable for cops to listen to random fans and come into my home unwarranted…Jesus Christ…Can I make calls and make others feel threatened in your home?”

Spears’ tell-all memoir features a series of revelations about her private life, including her relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
