We all know the disadvantages of plastic, and how it is bad for our planet.
It’s becoming painfully obvious to everyone that plastic is bad news for the planet.
About 300 million tons of plastic produced every year. And we use its half only and some items used once only (like bags and wrapping). Only 10% of it is recycled and the rest goes to garbage dumps and rivers. According to a recent study, 10 rivers (2 in Africa and 8 in Asia) transport 90% of all the plastic that ends up in oceans. The condition of pollution is dangerous and many of us don’t even realize how bad the situation is.
We all know that our planet is experiencing severe global warming and climate change issues that are already affecting all of us here on Earth. Everyone feels like as an individual, we can’t make a big change. But, that’s not true: there has never been a better time to focus on reducing your carbon footprint. Every small change, when added up, has the potential to make a huge difference.
The whole world is trying to be sustainable and minimize its ecological footprint, some companies with superfluous wrapping, whether it’s a pill wrapped in 3 layers of plastic or individually packaged grapes, are treading the opposite direction.
We share some photos to show terrible places we have turned our planet into.
