Rebecca Munday and her 3-year-old Springer Spaniel can’t just move through the street without being stopped by strangers as people can’t resist the rockstar hairstyle of the pup.
The 21-year-old pet owner, who belongs to Hardwicke, Gloucester, revealed that people often compare her pup Finley with celebrities like Brian May and John Lennon.
After looking at the way people love and treat Finley, Rebecca decided to launch an Instagram account for the dashing Springer Spaniel.
The account she made has gained more than 12,000 followers so far and the number keeps on increasing every day.
Rebecca said: “People always compliment his hair and say he looks like a rockstar, Finley loves the attention and additional fuss from people.
“It all started when he was six-months-old with a mohawk, then as he grew – his hair did too. He is groomed every six weeks but I have to brush it every day to make sure it doesn’t get matted.”
She added: “I absolutely love it and so do other people, we get stopped every time we are out in public.
“He has been compared to Brian May from Queen and John Lennon. I used to trim it when he was younger but then I realized his hair makes him so unique and stand out from the other springers.
“I have crazy colored hair myself, so it has become our thing.”
The 3-year-old classy pup has beautifully colored curly hair that seems like a bob cut.
It’s not just the local public who have become star-struck by the dog, some business owners also express their love for the pooch online.
Finley gets a lot of gifts and free products to promote through his Instagram account. However, his owner donates everything he gets to the animal shelters.
Rebecca who works as a dog care assistant revealed that she was able to find her partner through the adorable dog in April 2018.
She explained: “As Finley’s hair grew so did his account and businesses wanted him to promote their brand.
“I even met a really close friend through Instagram as I was always buying products from her online and we began meeting up.
“We then went on to move from Essex to Cotswold where I met my fiancé Ollie Bracey, 22, so I have a lot to thank Finley for.
“He is the most loving dog I could ever wish for and I am very lucky to have him.”
The pet-lover also disclosed how she keeps on discovering techniques to make the puppy pose for his Instagram followers.
She said: “He is so well behaved and very much toy and treat motivated which is how I manage to get him to pose for the camera.
“Finley is super chilled but a typical mad spaniel when he is near water or mud, he will always come home filthy.”
