Steve Harvey invited his wife of nine years, Marjorie Bridges, for a week-long stint on his hit talk show in honor of Mother’s Day.
She thought she was there to honor all the mothers everywhere, but to her surprise Steve was waiting to honor her with a moving on-air tribute he wrote just for her. The cameras were rolling, and Steve — never one to hide his emotions — completely broke down while addressing Marjorie before the audience.

“From the moment I saw you, when you walked into that comedy club that night, and the first thing I said to you ever was ‘I don’t know who you are, lady. But I’m gonna marry you one day.”
His speech goes on to describe how much she means to him and his children, and it is incredibly moving and genuine.
She inspired him to listen to music again.
She helped turn his son into an A student.
She made her comfortable with his fame.
Steve is known for his larger than life personality, but this is another side of him we have never seen. Though we’d love to see more!

Steve has been very vocal that Marjorie is responsible for making him a better man, and changing his life in the most incredible way.
He has been married three times and has seven children. Marjorie Harvey has three children of her own, and Steve raises them as if they were his.
