As kids, we liked to imagine a lot of stuff.
It would usually start out as fantastical such as fighting dragons or becoming a ninja. And then we’d pare it down to something more realistic but still extreme such as becoming a fighter pilot or an astronaut.
But more often than not, we end up with a career that’s a bit more mundane, such as becoming an accountant or salesman, but safer.

But there are those who can only get a kick out of doing something more extreme or dangerous. And that’s where “Fluffy” the monster truck comes in. It’s a 1,400 hp powerhouse that’s made a name for itself doing stunts.
That’s thanks to proud owner Kevin King who doesn’t shy away from the dangerous stuff.
Where most kids won’t go beyond playing with their matchbox monster truck and making it jump over other toy cars, King actually took “Fluffy” and managed to squeeze out a performance that saw him jumping over a fire truck and TWO police cars.In fact, Kevin is one of the leading names among independent truck drivers who make up the Monster Truck Industry.
During one performance in Waycross, Georgia, Kevin wanted to entertain the big crowd while paying tribute to their local services. And boy, did he deliver.
Kevin said: “This truck, it’s a beast.
“It’s a race vehicle. So it’s really not a matter of if it breaks – it’s just when and how bad.
“With the stunt, we wanted to show our support for those guys, to salute our first responders.
“It landed real good and I was happy with it.”
An impressive Chevy 565 engine gives “Fluffy” the muscle it needs to perform even the most daring stunts.
Kevin is no stranger to such powerhouses. Aside from “Fluffy,” he is also known for another monster truck called “Strait-Jacket.”
“I’ve been doing this for so long now,” he said.
“When we get into the truck, when we put that helmet on, there’s really no thought process.
“If you’re thinking about it all, you’re going to screw up.
“It’s just what we do.”
As to the reason the truck is named “Fluffy,” Kevin added: “A Monster Truck called ‘Fluffy?’
“It’s like the manliest, toughest name in Monster Trucks…”
