Children are innocent souls, they don’t know how the world works.
They depend on their parents for everything from food, cloth, shelter, education, and more. It is not up to you to choose your father or mother, the fate decides whether one get good parents or bad ones.
Majority of parents love their children and there is no doubt that they can go to any extent to protect them. But responsibility is something that is not everybody’s cup of tea. And sometimes, personal problems can come in the way of taking care of children.
Alcohol and drug abuse are big issues in the society and many people come in contact with it. It is horrible to even think of a small child getting exposed to such things.
This is the story of a brave boy who acted admirably when he was exposed to a terrible situation. What he did after that is applauded by thousands over the internet.
Anthony Edward Young II, 26, and Lakin Michelle Stoppard, 27, from Pennsylvania, lived with their 10-year-old son in their Dover home.
They were supposed to be responsible parents but unfortunately, their habit of openly taking drugs in the house put a negative impact on their son. Well, it is a crime to take drugs in a home with a minor in it and punishable.
Well, the parents were punished and their 10-year-old made sure of that. The boy called 911 after he found out several needles and stuff in his parents’ bedroom.
The boy knew that his parents are struggling with drugs and he did the right thing calling the police. The police responded quickly to the call and when they searched their house, they found eight needles and other stuff that ultimately proved that the parents were heroin addicts.
Police arrested Michelle who was nearby and was apparently high. She was barely able to stand. After Michelle was arrested, the police tried to call the husband, but he didn’t respond. Later he was tracked down by the police and arrested.
The son was sent to York Country Children and Youth Services where he will be taken care of until the authorities make a decision on his parents.
The 10-year-old was brave enough to call the police when he sensed his parents were not on the right track.
