Tressa Middleton had been the buzz years ago when she had her first baby at a young age of 11.
She was out of primary school and got pregnant from being sexually assaulted and raped by her older brother, Jason.
She gave birth to her first child, but had to give up her baby when she was at the age of 12 because social services found out who her baby’s father was. She was forced to give up the baby from information received from The Scot, an identity which has been disclosed due to privacy issues.
To confirm the identity of the baby, cops investigated the case and obtained the baby’s DNA alongside with the alleged father. They confirmed that it was of Jason’s descent, who was 19 at the time, and had been jailed for four years for the crime.
After her baby had been given up, Tressa fell back to heroin and got addicted to the drug. She would spend around $500 a day in order to receive the drug.
After realizing that the heroin was not good for her health, she started to clean herself in order to continue living again. She has come to terms with herself that what had happened in the past is done, and is now in a relationship with her long-term partner, Darren Young, who is 31.
Tressa is aged 24 now, the incident that happened about half a decade ago for her is traumatizing, but she is now able to bring in her new baby into the world. Her second baby, Arihanna, was birthed just last October and is described to be a “bittersweet moment.”
Tressa tells Daily Record that she “felt pure joy the moment Arihanna was born. There were times I thought I’d never have another baby.”
She is still ridden with guilt, knowing that her older daughter is out there somewhere.
She says that “Arihanna is with me and my older daughter is not.
She’s still the first thing I think about every morning and the last thing at night. I love her so much. I can’t be properly happy without her. It breaks my heart Arihanna will grow up without knowing it’s her big sister.”
She also says that she’s “determined that her life will be totally different to mine.”
