Dogs are a man’s best and most sincere friend who could even sacrifice his life while protecting his owner.
We all love puppies as they bring joy to our lives but unfortunately when they grow old, when they can’t run to catch a ball, a lot of people feel them as a burden and put them in animal shelters.
And the story which you are going to read now will definitely bring tears to your eyes as 2 senior dogs were abandoned by their owners who left them to die inside a Petco’s bathroom.
On March 2nd, two people were seen with their dogs at Allen Park Petco. Although they were looking fine and playing with the dogs, yet one of the Petco workers noticed that the dogs were not wearing collars. He approached the owners asking them why the puppies were without collars and they replied that they had forgotten them.
Later on both of them went inside the store saying that they need to buy something for the dogs.
That evening, one of the employees heard some strange noise. When he tried to focus, he realized that the noise was coming inside the bathroom.
When he opened the door, he saw 2 senior dogs alone, locked inside.
The dogs were kept at Petco for a while and later on were moved to a P.O.E.T. Animal Rescue organization where they are placed in emergency foster care.
Volunteers at the P.O.E.T are taking care of the dogs and having been spoiling them as they were looking very scared.
Staff at the animal rescue organization have even given the name to them – Marigold is between 10 to 12 years old and Daffodil is 7 or 8.
Moreover, the organization has posted online saying that these dogs are looking for homes. If someone wants to adopt them, they should contact the office.
Although it is very sad that owners could leave their pups like that, still it feels good that there are kind people out there too to help these furry friends.
