Four stray dogs went viral after they stayed at the door of an admitting room, waiting for a homeless man who was getting treatment in the hospital.
Cesar who had to be hospitalized to get treated for his illness wasn’t left alone for even a second by his four dear fellows – strangely, all of whom were dogs.
It’s a usual routine for doctors and nurses to witness emotional support given to a patient by their family members and friends. But this incident was undoubtedly, just one of its kind.
At about 3:00 am, Cris Mamprim was performing her duties in a night shift as per her usual routine in the Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Brazil when a man named Cesar showed up for treatment.
While discussing his previous and present condition with him, Cris realized an interesting thing. She observed that four stray dogs were constantly standing at the door.
It soon became apparent to her that the dogs who were healthier than the common street dogs were actually there for Cesar.
“They are all well taken care of and chubby,” Cris told The Dodo. “Seeing them like that, waiting at the door, only shows how much they are cared for and loved.”
The incident was shared on Facebook by Cris, where it went viral in no time.
She wrote: “A simple person, without luxury, who depends on the help to win hunger, cold, pain, wickedness of the world, has by his side the best companions, and the exchange is reciprocal.”
Speaking of how Cesar used to feed his dogs by remaining hungry himself, Cris wrote in her post: “Exchange of love, affection, warmth, understanding.
“A person who confess to us that he stops eating to feed them.
“I don’t know how his life is, why he’s on the street, and I don’t even want to know and judge him, but I admire the respect and love he has for his pets.”
The dogs who were impatient to get united with their fellow knew how to behave. Despite that they were eager to meet him, they didn’t try to annoy anyone.
After standing by the door for a long time, they sat there in a harmless manner. When their master had received the medical aid he required, the dogs were allowed to come inside to meet him.
All the nurses and staff of the hospital were just amazed at how Cesar’s pets loved him and made him feel like he had a family.
Concluding her post, Cris wrote: “Seeing them like this, waiting at the door, just shows how well care and loved they are. Oh if everyone was like this…. if there was no evil, abuse.”
