Incredible moment migrants stormed a jam-packed tourist beach in southern Spain and scaled up a sea cliff after jumping off their boat.
The jaws were dropped as the semi-inflatable vessel carrying 50 Moroccans swarmed the beach near a luxury hotel area on Spain’s Costa de la Luz.
Footage shows migrants sprinting up the popular Barrosa Beach around 3:30 PM on Sunday before attempting to clamber cliffs.
The incident took place near a residential and tourist resort named Sancti Petri that boasts several hotels, restaurants, and shops.
The tourists can be heard saying something in Spanish, totally surprised as the refugees leaped from their vessel, Zodiac.
One of the witnesses present at the scene said that everyone thought that the migrants aren’t going to reach the beach because it is not something that is usual in this area. But the migrants quickly leaped off the vessel and started climbing up the rocks.
A spokesman from the Civil Guard said that 25 migrants were intercepted this morning out of which 19 were minors. They all were Moroccans.
They said that six adults would be held at an adult migrant holding center before they are returned to their home country as part of a treaty signed with Morocco.
He added that no one is arrested as they haven’t committed a crime and the minors, whose ages could not be specified are taken to the youth centers run by the regional Junta de Andalucía government.
The adults will be quickly returned to their home nation quickly.
