Couples put a lot of thought into their wedding day.
It’s supposed to be one of the most magical days of their lives. Everything from venue to food to music is of the utmost importance.
And the details are important too. Most people want to look their absolute best on their wedding day. And that means picking out the perfect clothing.
Many hold on to their wedding clothes for years after the big day has passed. Some even give their wedding dresses to children and grandchildren, honoring a sacred tradition where people value their wedding gowns almost as much as the day itself.
But in spite of the meaning tied to wedding outfits, many wedding dresses end up at the back of a closet where they collect dust.

Carole-Ann and Jim Stanfield had done just that—left their precious outfits stored away where they were long forgotten. The couple had originally married back in 1966. Now in their early 70’s the two had little reason to dig out their old clothing.
Their granddaughter Hayley had other plans.
She found her grandmother’s dress and her grandfather’s suit and was absolutely thrilled. She urged them to try their outfits on half a century later.
The couple was hesitant at first, but obliged their granddaughter.

To their surprise, the clothing still fit both of them—perfectly!
The couple decided to throw a 50th wedding anniversary and invite their friends and family. To everyone’s delight, they wore their original wedding clothes from the 1960’s.
Some of the people they invited had also attending their wedding years ago. Carole-Ann and Jim looked just as incredible as they did on their big day.
