A young boy had been claimed as a hero in the last moments of his life.
Dante, 8-years-old, tried to save his younger sister from a sexual assault attack. In the midst of it all, he had gotten caught in the middle, and the perpetrator beat him up with a hammer, leaving him for dead.
The boy had just started third grade, but died while trying to save his sister from her child molester. Dante’s grandmother, Monique Brown, tells sources that her grandson was a “sensitive” boy. His heart had been donated to another child in Southern California, allowing another four-year-old child to experience life.
Deandre Chaney Jr, 23-year-old ex boyfriend of Dante’s mother, was charged with sexual assault and murder for his actions towards his ex-girlfriend’s children. Dante was 8 and his sister is 7-years-old.
Chaney has a long list of convictions which include rape, robbery, and assault charges. He has also been charged with committing “lewd acts” before beating up the girl, her brother, and their mother on top of that.
According to police, Chaney doused the mother, Elizabeth Salone, in lighter fluid before he escaped the location of the scene. His accounts also include cutting off his “parolee ankle monitor and hopped on an Amtrak train for Salt Lake City.”
Luckily, he had been found in Winnemucca, Nevada, arrested on the spot after trying to hide inside of a shed. The charges he faces are murder and attempted murder, as well as committing lewd acts with a minor under 14. A Gofundme has been created in order to help Dante’s family to cover the medical bills and other expenses. Recently, they have raised over $22,000 for these costs.
