Once one has officially become a senior, one rightly feels like a grizzled veteran who has gone through all sorts of things in life.
That’s why a lot of old people are offended at young know-it-alls who think that they have the answer to any problem.
Some old people think to themselves, “You’re only headed there but I’m already on my way back.” This means that a lot of things a youngster is only about to experience are already old news to someone of age.

Of course, it’s impossible to experience everything there is to experience in life. But still, there’s not a lot that someone who’s above 60 hasn’t gone through, especially the basic stuff.
This is why it may come as a surprise that 90-year-old Pat Measures hadn’t flown even once in her life and only experienced riding in a plane after going for a flight in a small plane for her birthday. But that’s because her late husband had been scared of flying so they had never traveled by air.
Pilot Adam Golder took Pat up for a flight on his small four-seater plane. It was a fitting celebration of this new milestone of becoming a nonagenarian who had turned 90 in September.
Pat was accompanied by her great-niece Vicky Culverwell and Vicky’s husband Jason. They were the ones who booked the flight with Adam who took them over Warwick.
Just before they took off from Wellesbourne airfield, Adam asked Pat why she had never flown before and that’s when she revealed her late husband’s fear of flying.
They flew above Coventry and Rugby with the lush green fields in full display and then flew over Draycote Water. Pat was obviously enjoying herself as she was grinning from ear-to-ear.
In fact, when they landed, as she thanked Adam Pat said that she’s excited to go flying again. You really don’t know what you’re missing until you experience it!
Adam said: “Pat, just turned 90, is experiencing her first-ever flight in an aircraft, her family arranged for a short trip in a small aircraft across Warwickshire, as a present for her 90th Birthday.
“She was told the take-off and landings she would hate, but her face says otherwise!
“Her husband was scared of flying, so she’s never been in the air, even though she offered to pay for him to go on a course to overcome his fear.”
Replaced!
