Madeleine McCann’s parents have issued a statement for the first time in 16 years regarding their missing daughter.

After the entire fiasco regarding the woman who wrongly claimed she was their daughter was over, many thought the McCanns would not be coming out in the public eye regarding any more news on this front.

However, it so appears that it is not the case and the parents are now issuing a statement on this ordeal about the matter.

The news comes after they marked 16 long and painful years since their beloved child went missing on a family trip that they took to Portugal. But little did they or anyone else know that a vacation would end in heartbreak and tragedy, making them wish like they should have never gone in the first place.

Till today, the child was never found and despite the police from several countries taking part in a frantic search and rescue and recovery mission, it just never came out to be fruitful and they just lost hope.

When Julia Wendell came into the picture, the parents were forced to live through the pain all over again. And now, they’re finally breaking their silence on how they really feel about the whole situation.

The parents chose to break their silence after 16 long years have passed since they were last seen with their baby girl. Therefore, they took to the official website that was designed in their daughter’s name to keep updates about her and to assist in her recovery.

“We would like to thank all the well-wishers for their prayers and their thoughts on the matter. It just means so much and we miss our little precious girl so much. She may not be with us but she is forever in our hearts”- they continued.

And as you can imagine, the news really hit hard for many people who just couldn’t hold back their tears.
