Billie Lourd is revealing how she was forced to make a decision regarding her family that not a lot of people might understand but to those whom the message was directed, were well aware.
The celeb exclaimed how she purposefully opted to not invite her aunt and uncle to Carrie Fisher’s star ceremony. And those bashing her for the decision have no clue as to why she did what she had to do.
The actress told netizens and her fellow fans and followers that there is no feud so she wished people would stop talking bad about it.
“For those claiming there is some sort of a battle taking place, well, that’s not the case. It’s simple as can be, we have no relationship with them so we did not choose to invite them”- she went on to explain.
The news has left so many people shocked as that was not expected while speculations grew further as to what exactly was the matter and why they would end up doing something of this sort.
The news comes as Carrie Fisher was awarded her own star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And while this was supposed to be one of the happiest moments of the star’s life, Lourd mentioned how it became a bitter family affair when her aunt opted to slam the celeb for the incident.
The aunt, Todd Fisher was very vocal about the whole matter and how it was not okay to exclude close family members from such an honorable and prestigious gathering. “Sometimes family is all you have”- the aunt began to mention on her Instagram. But that’s not all.
She even spoke to the leading media outlet TMZ on how it was not only heartbreaking but also shocking to see them get omitted intentionally as it was a legacy event. “That’s my sister, Carrie, I should be by her side”- the aunt continued.
