Remember Shamima Begum who was one of the two girls who ran away to be a member of ISIS?
Well, the woman pleaded to come back to her home because she was pregnant and did not want to give birth to her child anywhere else other than her home. She was 15 when she left and came back at the age of 19.
Well, she had to give birth to her son in northern Syria and the baby died 3 weeks after he was born.
Working for the Kurdish Red Crescent, a paramedic said that the baby named Jerah was suffering from lungs infection and had breathing difficulties and died due to the same.
The medical professional said that the baby was rushed to a doctor who transferred him to a hospital but he died at 1:30 p.m. (local time of the region.)
Jerah, according to a friend of his mother was just 18 days old when he turned blue and cold and eventually died.
Diane Abbott, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary has blamed Home Secretary Sajid Javid for the death of the young child. She blamed him for canceling Begum’s citizenship and calling it an inhuman act.
Her post on twitter said “It is against international law to make someone stateless, and now an innocent child has died as a result of a British woman being stripped of her citizenship. This is callous and inhumane.”
Tasnime Akunjee, the family’s lawyer had posted about a strong but unconfirmed report that the baby has died adding that he was a British citizen.
But the claims were not confirmed as an insider from Roj camp where Begum had taken shelter that the baby has died before stating that he was fine.
Miss Begum had already lost 2 children who died due to the same problem of breathing and the third child who was born in the refugee camp died because of it as well.
The teenager wanted to come back home. She wanted to be back in Britain but Mr. Javed decided to act in other ways and tore her citizenship down.
