The last thing that any bride needs before her wedding is more stress and this next story is about a mother-daughter duo who don’t appear to be getting along before the big day.
The bride-to-be shared her thoughts on Reddit about how her mother can be the most toxic and judgemental person around town. And she’s had enough of it already.
Appearing on the famous wedding reality television show for TLC, the young woman speaks about how she has had enough of her mom’s behavior. Her toxicity and judgmental nature are really getting on her nerves and although she should be used to it by now, it’s really affecting her mood these days.
“This is my wedding. This is my big day. I am so appalled at how people find it okay to behave in this manner. I want my mother to realize that I will not be taking any sort of nasty comments from her anymore”- she added.
The bride explained how it’s not uncommon for people to body shame her on a routine basis and that has really lowered her self-esteem.
People need to understand that when you’re already used to hearing strangers pass rude comments about your weight, the least you’re loved ones can do is provide you with nothing but love and affection.
The mother slammed the bride and told her that her gown was not good enough. She felt that her chubby arms were on display and that was a turn-off to the viewer.
Therefore, she suggested she look for something else at the last minute but the bride was not happy or going to deal with this behavior.
“I’m so done with this. I don’t deserve to be treated like this. No one does!”- she continued and netizens couldn’t agree more.
