Singer Sam Smith was recently spotted out and about on the streets donning matching tanktops with one of the celeb’s rumored boyfriends.

But fans were not happy and trolls found another excuse to bash the star who they felt needed a reality check for finding it alright to wear matching attire with a lover.

Christian Cowan was known to be Sam Smith’s love interest in the past but now that we’re seeing so many images of the duo surface online again, fans cannot help but feel these two were made for one another.

They were seen crossing the street in similar outfits, not to mention shorts, tank tops, shoes, and socks. Clearly, it was like a matching game of coordinated outfits and people were loving it.

But it’s the addition of a pleated skirt with a baseball cap that had some in awe. They felt the star needed a reality check because such attire was not only ridiculous to look at but just wrong for obvious reasons.

“We cannot believe this. It is so wrong. Can the singer get a new stylist and a reality check? This is New York, one of the fashion capitals of the world and we are seeing this!”- explained one person and many agreed.

The London-based performer opted to elevate the look to a whole new level of greatness. The presence of gold necklaces and white socks with tan boots had a few people just simply confused and baffled as to what is taking place. But if you think that’s enough to scare the star away, well, think again.

This is certainly not the first time that we’re seeing the London-based performer be called out for their looks. Most of the live performances that they take part in feature the most controversial attire and whether fans like it or not, Smith appears to care less.
