LeBron James is reportedly devastated and scared after son Bronny’s unexpected cardiac arrest.

On Monday, 18-year-old basketball protégé Bronny James collapsed suddenly during a University of Southern California practice at the Galen Center arena in Los Angeles.

Following his health scare, the young man was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU where doctors confirmed he had suffered a cardiac arrest.

A source close to the family has since spoken to DailyMail.com and revealed that LeBron wants to make sure his son “gets the best care possible.”

The insider also said the NBA legend went into “full Dad mode and is protecting his son in any way he can” after being left “scared” and “devastated” about Bronny’s condition.

“LeBron is keeping things as close to himself and his family as possible but is also keeping others like his agents and main people in the Lakers organization privy to what is going on,” the source explained.

“He is scared and devastated with what has transpired with his son. The family is making sure he gets the best care possible as his well-being is the most important thing right now.

“LeBron has no other feelings besides making sure his son will be OK. LeBron’s only focus is devoted to Bronny’s recovery. It is going to be the only thing on his mind, he is in full dad mode and protecting his son in any way he can do that.”

Meanwhile, cardiologists warned that the young Trojans star’s recent health scare could mean the end of his career before it even properly started.

“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU,” the LeBron family said in a statement after Bronny’s collapse.

“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
