A teenager who opened his own business has been making rounds on the internet after breaking into tears in his viral video.
18-year-old Tom Oswald from Hahndorf, Australia, is a young entrepreneur with a passion for business who started his own café right after graduating from high school.
While the teen couldn’t wait to work hard to make a living, he was in for a shock when no one outside of his circle of close friends and relatives showed up at his place for the first few days.
In a heartbreaking video, Tom was seen tearing up saying “nobody came” to his café even though he was fully ready for business.
As the teenager later admitted, however, he won’t let the bitter start wear him down or stop him from pursuing his passing.
“The café can get a little bit quiet at times, but it is something I fully expect and do not get down about it,” he admitted in an interview with news.com.au.
“Quiet days give me time to reflect and research, and busy days teach me the importance of efficiency.”
After Tom’s story went viral, thousands of people voiced their support for the young man and urged him to stay strong and patient.
“I’ve never been so invested in a café on the other side of the country,” one person said.
“You are so inspiring, I’m 17 and I wanna open a café. Keep going, man,” another teen explained.
A third advised: “Take your time and don’t expect much profit in the first few years. It takes time to get the name out there, but you seem to be doing great.”
