A Louisiana high school student’s prospective college scholarship sunk to the bottom of the ocean after she was caught twerking in a viral video.

17-year-old Kaylee Timonet sparked fury among her school’s officials after a video of her laughing and twerking with her friends at a homecoming afterparty made rounds on social media.

According to the reports, Walker High School principal Jason St Pierre removed the high schooler from her position as the president of the student government body because he found she didn’t “live in the Lord’s way.”

The revoking of the title, along with the principal’s refusal to help the student get a good scholarship, effectively ruined Kaylee’s chances of getting a college scholarship.

“I just started crying hysterically. They basically told me I should be ashamed of myself and that they were concerned about my afterlife if I wasn’t following basically God’s ideals, which made me cry even more,” the girl said after the school came under fire.

Meanwhile, outraged locals and parents slammed Pierre for his aggressive action towards the student while defending Kaylee for “going a bit wild” during the homecoming afterparty.

“He told her she wasn’t living in the Lord’s way and questioned who her friends were and if they followed the Lord,” the 17-year-old’s mother, Rachel, said.

“She said she didn’t know how to answer that and they said it’s a yes or no question. Meanwhile, she’s sobbing.”

In an attempt to get his point across, the “zealous” principal allegedly confronted the student with Bible verses during their meeting before revoking her role as the student government body president and withdrawing his support.

“Her entire life she’s worked toward that. She said she really felt she didn’t think anything was wrong in the video, but at this point she said she really felt like a complete failure,” mother Rachel said.

Kaylee added: “I’ve been a dancer my entire life and I just really like to have fun… I felt like my life was over. Everything I worked for since I was little, always worked really hard at school. Being student of the year, at least having a chance at it, has always been my main goal.

“I work very hard in class. I stress myself out over everything and I’m also Beta president so there’s a lot of things on my plate that I could lose… it was a shock.”
