David Schwimmer was seen for the first time since the heartbreaking death of his co-star Matthew Perry at the age of 54.
Perry, who starred as Chandler Bing in the popular sitcom, was found lifeless in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home. According to reports, he was found by his assistant, who immediately called emergency services.
Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller, looked downcast as he was photographed arriving at his NYC home.
David wore a navy hoodie and a black jacket. He also matched it with blue jeans and white and blue trainers.
The 56-year-old actor was later seen leaving his apartment alongside his ex-wife, Zoe Buckman.
Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and Courteney Cox have released a joint official statement.
They told PEOPLE: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family.
“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.
“In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
A source said to Page Six that the cast is ‘reeling from the loss of their brother, because that’s what Matty was – their brother.’
Journalist Kinsley Schofield said that the co-stars believe Perry’s death is ‘incredibly unfair.’
“No one saw this coming because they felt like he was in a really good place that he had one of his best years.”
