A mother accidentally ruined her son’s proposal video after she turned the camera on herself instead during the special moment.

The hilarious video shared on TikTok shows her son about to get on one knee to propose to his girlfriend in Saint Peter’s Square in Italy.

But before viewers get to see him propose, the mother recording the special moment accidentally turned the camera on herself.

The mom, who was smiling while watching the couple, looked int the camera and her eyes widened when she finally realized that she was recording herself.

The post has now been viewed over 1.9 million times, with one person commenting: “I know she’s innocent, but this just made me so mad lol.”

Another wrote: “Everyone’s saying they’re mad, I feel so bad for her. You can tell she was distressed when she realized it was on her face.”

A third said: “She had one job,” along with crying emojis.

Someone else commented: “Please, please, please tell me there was someone else taking another video omg.”

Fortunately, another video managed to capture the special moment.

Sharing it on TikTok, the girlfriend, now fiancée, said: “Yes! Luckily his dad was recording the whole thing!”

In the clip, the son can be seen taking a knee before opening a small box to his girlfriend, who put both hands over her mouth in shock.

She then nodded before they shared a warm embrace and a sweet kiss.
