A pregnant journalist from Brazil, Elaine da Silva has reportedly died with her baby on Tuesday.
According to reports from local media outlets, the 38-year-old passed away while being 23 weeks pregnant. She had been hospitalized in Sao Paulo on Monday morning after complaining about respiratory issues as per reports from her employer.
The young mom-to-be was working for a leading Catholic Television network located in Cancao Nova. She is said to have left behind her loving husband and her one-year-old son named Leo as the family speaks about their absolute devastation regarding the ordeal.
Da Silva was known for having a huge smile on her face while working and many also added how she adored life to bits. She was a true animal and nature lover as well and all of her colleagues at the leading news network simply couldn’t get enough of her.
But the sudden and tragic news of her health deteriorating all of a sudden, causing her to battle pneumonia while pregnant has people talking as she had already suffered from a miscarriage in the recent past, being just five weeks into her last pregnancy.
Her family is speaking about how brave and loving she’s been throughout her life and how her passion for journalism has transformed many people’s worlds as she vowed to speak the truth and do everything to report on the matter.
The couple was in a state of panic when all of a sudden, her water broke and she was bleeding. This heartbreaking report was confirmed by her husband who wiped away his tears while describing how the tragedy unfolded all of a sudden.
Da Silva reportedly underwent the c-section as an emergency procedure as doctors feared losing her child but both mother and child died in the end, leaving loved ones in shock and now in a state of mourning.
“They did not know the baby’s gender. They just wanted a healthy delivery and had been planning for months. This was never the end that she or anyone had imagined”- one loved one began to explain.
