Dolly Parton had jaws dropping to the floor with her cheerleading-themed appearance at an NFL Thanksgiving game.
The 77-year-old country icon left little to the imagination as she sported a blue and white cheerleading uniform for her performance at the halftime show at the Washington-Dallas game on Thanksgiving.
The uplifting performance, along with the daring appearance, came as a pleasant break in the middle of the Commanders’ clash with the Cowboys in Dallas.
Sending the audience wild, the beloved singer performed some of her biggest hits including 9 to 5 and Jolene while making sure the show was on fire with renditions of We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions.
Parton’s performance and provocative outfit appeared to be well-received by fans and critics alike who took to social media to applaud the country legend.
“How ’bout that Dolly Parton. Talk about dressing for the occasion. Now that is impressive,” wrote sports analyst and commentator Skip Bayless.
One fan wrote: “Dolly Parton is a true Queen.”
Another said: “She’s a national treasure. This was a halftime show for the ages.”
Discussing Parton’s halftime show in the booth were also Jim Nantz and Tony Romo with the latter not holding back his excitement over the singer’s outfit.
“She was wearing the… Cowboys cheerleading outfit. You saw that coming, didn’t you?” Romo said. “You said, ‘I think she’s going to go with a little cheerleading outfit tonight,’ and I was like, ‘wow, pretty good.’”
He added: “I mean, she looks amazing, right? She’s wonderful. Who doesn’t like Dolly Parton?”
