Sharon Osbourne has shared an update about the health of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, after he was diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s disease.
The 74-year-old legendary singer revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s after suffering from other health problems.
The rocker has been spotted using a cane and a wheelchair as he also struggles with his mobility.
His wife, Sharon, has now shared an update about his health and opened up about the difficulty of watching him decline.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 71-year-old said: “For nearly five years my husband’s been really sick. Relationships change all the time, as we change.
“We’re at a stage where I’ve been taking care of my husband, not because I have to but because I want to and I love him.”
She revealed that Ozzy underwent seven operations in five years but there is ‘nothing more they can do.’
Sharon also said that her husband is taking huge amounts of blood thinners “so you have to be careful because if you fall again you could bleed out. It’s like he’s a piece of china and you’ve got to put cotton wool around him.”
She also admitted that the hardest thing to see is seeing him needing help with simple tasks.
“It’s just been heartbreaking for me to see my husband in a position where he’s not self-sufficient, he needs help. He was so vibrant, with such a zest for life. But you learn to adapt,” she continued.
She also said that she will always be with her husband.
“I adore him. I owe him so much. He gave me the best things in my life, my kids,” she added.
