Singer Billie Eilish has confirmed to the world that she is queer and that’s not sitting down too well with fans, many of which were not prepared for this announcement.
The singer says that she finds it shocking that not a lot of individuals had guessed this before while others did know but might be downplaying it, waiting for her to make the announcement.
The news came after the star was seen sitting down for a recently held interview where she detailed more on the matter and how stunned she was. She gave another separate interview that revolved around the star discussing her life. But she had no idea that would be promoted as a story about her ‘coming out as queer’- she mentioned.
While she was not mad about it, the matter did cause a stir and she was baffled as to where this all was coming from, to begin with.
Billie says that she always thought people knew the answer and even mentioned how it was more or less obvious as well. This was during their interview for Variety magazine. “I did not realize people would act this way and that they would not know. I thought it was all so obvious”- she went on to mention.
The 21-year-old star says she was always physically attracted to women from day on. But at the same time, she was intimated by their presence too as she did not know how they would behave towards her.
“They were some who were so beautiful and powerful and dominating”- she continued during her Variety profile interview for the November issue.
Now, she’s happy that it’s out there in the open and she’s curious to see people’s response so far but not all fans were happy to hear that.
The matter ignited a new debate online and people were just confused because they always knew something was differnet about the singer but admiring women to the extent that you wish to be romantically involved was just a shock for many.
