Paris Hilton has revealed that she did not change her son’s diaper until he was one month old.
Earlier this year, the businesswoman shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram showing her baby’s tiny fingers wrapped around hers.
She told PEOPLE that becoming a mother has always been her dream and that she and Carter Reum were so excited to start their family.
“Our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy,” Paris told PEOPLE in an interview.
On her reality show Paris In Love, she shared her experience when it comes to changing her baby’s diaper.
In a video shared on TikTok, the proud mom opened up on her worries when changing Phoenix’s diaper. “I said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday, but I will for you.”
Her birthday falls on February 17, a month after her son was born.
Her shocked sister, Nicky, then asked: “You’ve never done it?!”
After Paris confirmed it, Nicky and a nanny guided her through the task.
During the video, Paris can be seen asking the nanny about the front and back of the diaper while her sister repeatedly reminded her to be ‘gentle.’
The nanny then advised the mom to engage with her baby while changing his diaper.
Nicky then shared her insights into her sister’s journey into parenthood.
“Growing up, Paris was definitely more of a tomboy, she liked to hang out in the backyard, build forts, play with her pet rats,” she expressed.
“But motherhood… You’ve got to get your hands a little dirty.”
Paris recently defended her son from online trolls who criticized her baby’s appearance. In an interview with PEOPLE, she said: “I couldn’t believe that they could be mean and vicious about a little innocent baby.”
“You can say what you want about me, but this is my little angel. And if anyone ever says anything to hurt him or his feelings, I will always be there to protect him,” Paris added.
