NFL fans have been hearing plenty of speculations about Travis Kelce’s retirement and now the star player is finally setting the record straight in terms of what fans can expect in that regard.
The celeb revealed in a recent episode of his podcast appearance how his retirement plans were done way before he met the leading ‘Love Story’ singer and therefore to associate her with any of his life’s decisions, especially retirement would be unfair.
In the same way, the star added how he has had a very successful career and is currently at the peak of it. Therefore, those who assume he’s going to be bidding the world of football goodbye should think again because that’s not happening.
The news has left some people happy while others are confused. Kelce mentioned how he would still play for the Kansas City Chiefs because that’s his passion and unless they don’t want him anymore, he isn’t going anywhere.
“I’ve got a burning desire to play, it’s as simple as that. And no matter what, I’ll always be here and don’t plan to retire anytime soon”- the star confirmed.
The 34-year-old did agree that his team did show a rather disappointing performance, considering how successful they performed at the Super Bowl last time. But that is just something that happens and it’s a part of play.
As far as his performance is concerned, the star says he’s buckling up to put on his best talent and skills but some do question how much longer the tight end continues to stay, especially because he’s got a distracting force in his life, who is none other than one of the world’s most successful singers.
The star is not a fan of discussing his private life in public and fact, gets very upset when people blame the singer for his team’s poor play. “It needs to stop”- the tight end added last time when asked what he felt like when people called his lover the biggest distraction in the game of football.
