Prince Harry was just awarded a prestigious honor that called him out as a ‘living legend’ during a snazzy evening hosted by celeb John Travolta.
But not everyone was impressed as to why he was given such a big award and how he was no longer a serving member of the royal family.
Others were quick to mention that perhaps he did not deserve this and then some added that it was such a shame how he chose to speak about his wife and not his father and sister-in-law who are both engaged in their health battles.
King Charles is all set to undergo surgery this upcoming week while Princess Kate just underwent an abdominal surgical procedure. The latter has been advised to stay at the clinic for 10 to 14 days. She will then be shifted back home and will not return to her royal duties until Easter.
But Harry failed to acknowledge any of that. He simply paid tribute to his late mother Princess Diana while also mentioning how he wished his wife was here to witness him getting this accolade added to his list of achievements.
“She could not make it because of an unwell child”- the Prince mentioned. And many couldn’t help but wonder why he didn’t speak a word about his dad and sister-in-law’s health.
The star’s award honored him for being a living legend of aviation for his time as a helicopter co-pilot and gunner featured in the army.
The prince was all smiles after he stepped on stage at the Hilton Hotels in Beverly Hills to get the major accolade from Hollywood star John Travolta.
He had tears in his eyes as he recalled his late mother, adding how she would be so proud to see him like this today.
Travolta was said to be the driving force behind Diana’s son Harry getting the award after he felt a sense of affinity to the former royal member, after dancing with Diana.
But it would not be wrong to add that quite a few people felt the star’s major award was unearned and he did not even complete half of the duration of service that most others undergo. What do you think?
