Alyssa Milano is once again at the center of controversy after being spotted driving her supercar after asking people for money.
The 51-year-old American actress and film producer took the public by surprise as she launched a GoFundMe page asking the internet for $10,000 in donations to pay for her 12-year-old son’s sports team trip.
Just days later, she was spotted driving a “nicely customized” 2023 Porsche Taycan 4S estimated to be worth around $200,000 in Los Angeles.
DailyMail.com has since also revealed that the custom British Racing Green paint job done on Milano’s Porsche comes at a hefty price of $13,000 – more than the amount she’s asking for her son’s baseball’s team trip.
This comes after the actress, whose net worth is around $4 million, surprised her followers on X by asking for contributions towards her son’s upcoming trip.
Confused by the request, people were left wondering why Alyssa, who is married to talent agent David Bugliari, would be asking for donations in the first place since she has more money than the average American.
The fundraiser has since already racked up over $11,000 despite the backlash.
“You’re a rich actress in Hollywood and you’re begging for money for your kid? Pay for it yourself you miserable t***,” someone wrote.
Another said: “Do rich people really just completely lose touch with reality. She has people living pay check to pay check pitching in for her son. WTF has happened to us.”
Defending her decision to ask for financial help, Milano explained:
“I’m getting media inquiries about whether I have financially contributed to my son’s baseball team. I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.
“The kids also do fundraising themselves—car washes, movie nights, and many other fun things! Thank you to all who have contributed to the GoFundMe! You’ve made things easier for these boys and their families.”
