Lip readers have shared what Travis Kelce shouted to Kansas City Chiefs coach, Andy Reid, during his Super Bowl meltdown on the sidelines.
The 34-year-old was seen furious during Sunday’s game before he body-bumped his coach, causing the 65-year-old to momentarily lose his balance.
Kelce then grabbed Reid’s arm and started screaming at him while his singer girlfriend, Taylor Swift, watched from a family suite.
According to Daily Mail, lip readers managed to decode the pair’s conversation, with the tight end shouting: “Keep me in! You f*****! I’m calm now!”
Fellow teammate Jerrod McKinnon was forced to restrain Kelce but it resulted in a heated altercation.
Following the Chiefs’ victory, Kelce said that the incident occurred as he ‘wanted the score to be different’ and that his coach is ‘one of the best leaders of men I’ve ever seen in my life.’
Cameras caught the tight end storming toward the Kansas City Chiefs coach and bumping into him. Their interaction prompted strong reactions on social media as people wondered what Kelce said.
After the Chief’s 25-22 victory, Kelce refused to tell reporters and asked: “You guys saw what?”
He added: “I’m going to keep it between us unless my mic’d up tells the world. I was just telling him how much I loved him.”
The Super Bowl was not the first time that Kelce was caught on camera suffering a meltdown on the field.
On Christmas Day, the tight end was spotted throwing his helmet on the ground following a 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
When a staff member attempted to give the helmet back to Kelce, Reid took it away and refused to return it.
