A shocking new mural of singer Taylor Swift has people talking, causing serious debate online.
According to reports from local media outlets, the star is set to take the city of Sydney by storm but it’s coming with plenty of unique surprises. While some might be happy, others are quite sad.
The star is arriving in Sydney with three shows beginning on Friday and in honor of her presence for the occasion, there’s a huge mural popping up on one of the city’s popular streets.
The huge artwork from Crown Street in Surry Hills showed the Shake it Off hitmaker staring down at the ground while donning a crimson red-toned attire. While it might sound great to some, to others, it was beyond average.
While it may have been created in the most loving and heartwarming manner, fans are far from impressed. Some critics have gone as far as to mention how it’s a ‘married at first sight wife’ joke.
Others agreed and hoped the work could be made better soon.
“Wow, we really did not expect this. It’s an insult to the star, why would they even try to make something that fails to resemble her? She is incredibly successful, talented, and loving. She does not deserve this”- another added.
And just like that, the negative comments started to come in. “I think it appears like something great”- one positive fan says, adding how art is the true reflection of the creator’s perspective. And therefore, it should never be taken so personally.
Whatever the case may be, while some may love it, others not so much. And that’s why petitions are being signed to remove it as soon as possible.
