Taylor Swift’s team broke their silence after her father, Scott Swift, allegedly punched a photographer in the face.
The 71-year-old is accused of hitting Australian photographer Ben McDonald, 51, after her last Eeras concert in Australia.
According to reports, Taylor and her dad traveled on a superyacht Quantum before the incident occurred.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, a spokesperson for Taylor Swift said that the photographers were ‘aggressive.’
“Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” the spokeswoman said.
But the chief executive of Matrix Media Group, Mr. McDonald, described the statement as ‘utter rubbish’ and said that the only woman where the incident occurred was Taylor.
“This is the sort of bulls**t I might expect,” Mr. McDonald said. “Which female was that? The only one there was Taylor.”
He also said that the alleged incident was caught on camera and did not show the photographers being aggressive.
The North Shore Police Command has launched an investigation into the alleged assault.
On Tuesday, the photographer accused Scott Swift of attacking him and said that he initially thought it was a security guard.
He said that he was shocked when he realized that it was Taylor’s father.
“In 23 years of taking pictures, I have never seen anything like it,” Mr. McDonald said. “She got off the boat, she walked towards security guards who were shoving umbrellas in our faces.”
Mr. McDonalds was left with ‘very sore chops’ on one side of his face but did not require medical attention.
