The armorer for the thriller movie Rush has reportedly been found guilty during her trial in the shooting death of the movie’s cinematographer.
As per reports from local media outlets, the armorer who goes by the name Hanna Gutierrez Reed showed extreme negligence by putting a live bullet inside the weapon.
The actors on the set had no idea and therefore, Alec Baldwin ended up firing the gun with the bullet ramming into the cinematographer’s body and killing her instantly.
After two long hours of deliberations in the courtroom, it was declared that she was guilty of the count of manslaughter but then acquitted of her charges linked to tampering with the evidence.
She happens to be the daughter of the leading movie industry armorer Thell Reed and therefore would face up to 18 years in prison.
But despite the mighty verdict being read out loud, she showed little to no emotion.
But one of her family members could not handle it and therefore broke down in tears, right in front of her.Judge Mary remanded the suspect in custody and told her the reason had to do with the fact that she had now been convicted of the crime. It’s dubbed criminal negligence but still a death due to the act.
