General Hospital star Robyn Bernard has passed away aged 64, TMZ confirmed.
According to reports, the actress was found dead in San Jacinto, California, on March 12. Authorities said that her body was discovered in an open field behind a business while responding to a death investigation report.
Her body was identified via fingerprints after it was discovered in the morning, the Riverside County Coroner noted.
The coroner also said that the cause of death has not yet been determined and that an autopsy is set to be performed today.
Bernard, who was born on May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, was best known for her role in General Hospital where she played the character Terry Brock.
She first got her break in the 1980s when she played guest roles on shows including Whiz Kids, The Facts of Life, and Simon & Simon.
She was also featured in many films exclusively in French productions. She had small roles in movies directed by the late Jean-Jacques Beineix, including 1981’s Diva, 1986’s Betty Blue, and 1989’s Roselyne and The Lions.
She also appeared in a 1992 episode of the French-language version of Maigret and 1997’s Kings For A Day.
Bernard was the older sister of actress and singer Crystal Bernard, who starred in the comedy Wings.
