An ex-training opponent of Olympic gold medalist and controversial gender row boxer Imane Khelif has plenty to say about her.
Speaking about Khelif in particular, the fighter named Joana Nwamerue shared how she had zero doubts about Imane’s male gender, confirming that she was indeed a man.
She referred to Khelif as an Algerian man and even went to the extent of bizarrely suggesting that she was biologically altered by living on the mountainside.
Furthermore, she spoke about claims arising during the Paris Olympics about Imane being a man and said they were all true.
The fighter who is half Bulgarian and half Nigerian says Khelif is a man and there was nothing that would change that.
More light was drawn on a sparring session from February where she saw the Olympian’s male power for the first, adding how all the punches she threw were reminiscent of a male’s techniques.
The news comes just one day after the athlete’s coach admitted to the struggles Imane faced while preparing for last year’s boxing championship. Due to a ‘chromosomal condition,’ she was declared a male but that took a hard hit on her because she was born and raised a female all of her life.
