A young woman from Florida was reportedly left blind and bruised temporarily after being forced to undergo three vaccines.
According to reports from local media outlets, the woman who is just 23 explained how doctors told her that getting several vaccines before a blood transfusion was the key to her rare autoimmune disorder.
Alexis Lorenzo was diagnosed with a rare condition called PNH in January which impacts just one out of a million individuals. This causes the immune system to attack and destroy all red blood cells.
At the start of the month, she reportedly traveled to California for another transfusion to replace her lost and damaged red blood cells. This was when her doctors informed her that she could not get it unless she got the vaccines for tetanus, pneumonia, and meningitis simultaneously.
She explained that within just a 10-minute slot after the vaccinations, she experienced the most alarming symptoms. Her vision started to get dark in her eyes and her jaw locked.
Then, she started to vomit and her body began to swell and get bruised.
Medical experts are now voicing concerns about the situation and dangers of getting several vaccines at the same time. This is true for those patients suffering from a host of autoimmune disorders like PNH because they have a high risk of severe immune reactions that can cause complications.
