Martha Stewart looked back on her terrible 5-month-stay at the Alderson Federal Prison Camp in West Virginia.
She spoke about it in detail in her upcoming Netflix documentary called Martha where she revealed how some of the memories were of the worst kind.
This included getting dragged into solitary for touching an officer as confirmed by People magazine during her latest interview.
She says that no food or drinks were offered in a single day. Despite the name Camp Cupcake, it was more than just that.
Stewart provided more details about how she got personal letters that served as evidence of her journey and how difficult it was to make it out.
She reads the letters out loud and how she earned her stay in solitude after touching one of the guards that were on duty at this facility.
As per Martha, she saw two very well dressed ladies walking and breezing by them. They remarked on the beautiful and warm morning and she explained how they really did catch her eye.
Hence, she complimented them and brushed one of them as a gesture, not realizing that they were actual guards.
At the time, it did not occur to her what she had done but the consequences were about to get very severe. These were real guards, and she was not going to be left alone for doing so.
Later on, she detailed how she found out how serious these transgressions can be. “I was called in and told never to touch any guard again as that would come with significant consequences”- she concluded.
