Queen Camilla’s health struggles were recently revealed as the royal pulled out of all engagements after falling seriously ill.
The 77-year-old senior royal family member is said to be suffering from a serious chest infection and is resting at her home in Wiltshire. A team of doctors is currently monitoring her progress.
This means Her Majesty has had to reluctantly withdraw from the yearly opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminister Abbey this Thursday.
She is known to be a fighter and will come out stronger than ever as her father was a war veteran who got two crosses for his participation in the Second World War.
It’s also a duty that she says she does not take lightly and the fact that her own husband is battling cancer means she really does need to step up to the plate.
Royal insiders shared that Camilla is not one to give up so easily but seeing her retire from royal engagements means something is serious. But she does hope to get better soon and attend the weekend Remembrance events such as the ceremony at the Cenotaph that will take place on Sunday.
